1. Who We Are

MapMiner ("MapMiner," "we," "us," or "our") is a lead generation desktop application operated by its founder. Our website is mapminer.app and you can reach us at info@mapminer.app.

2. What Information We Collect

We only collect what we actually need:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist, sign up for an account, or contact us
• Name — optional, only if you provide it
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number
• Usage data — basic, anonymous information like how many searches you run, which platforms you use, and app crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve the product
• Messages you send us — through the suggestions form or email

We do not collect: your Social Security number, government ID, location beyond what you explicitly enter, or any data from the leads you scrape — that data stays entirely on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To send you your account details, receipts, and product updates
• To notify you when MapMiner launches or releases new features (if you joined the waitlist)
• To respond to your support messages and suggestions
• To understand how people use MapMiner so we can make it better
• To prevent fraud and abuse

We will never use your email to send you unrelated third-party promotions. Every email we send will be relevant to MapMiner.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

Full stop. We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party for any purpose. Your data is not our product — MapMiner is.

5. Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of trusted services to operate MapMiner. They only receive the minimum data needed to do their job:

• Stripe — payment processing. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy
• Formspree — form submissions (waitlist, suggestions). Governed by Formspree's privacy policy

That's it. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no analytics platforms that sell your behavior.

6. Data From the MapMiner App

The leads you scrape, the contacts you manage, and the emails you send through MapMiner are stored locally on your own computer. We do not have access to this data, do not upload it to our servers, and take no responsibility for how you use it. You are solely responsible for using scraped data in compliance with applicable laws and the terms of service of the platforms you scrape.

7. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies — only what's necessary for the site to function. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that follow you across the web.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — ask us what personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — ask us to delete all your personal data. We'll confirm within 7 days
• Opt out — unsubscribe from any email we send using the unsubscribe link at the bottom

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. That said, no system is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly if we ever become aware of a data breach that affects your information.

10. Children's Privacy

MapMiner is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify active users by email. Continued use of MapMiner after changes means you accept the updated policy.
